Terms of Cancellation and Refund

This policy applies to course fee payments and cultural fee payments.

  • If you wish to cancel your participation, you must inform the summer school main lecturers by writing via e-mail.
  • 90% of the summer school fee will be refunded if you cancel participation and apply for a refund at least 30 days before the start of the summer school.
  • If you inform of your cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the summer school, no refund is made.
  • If the University of Santiago de Compostela has to cancel the summer school due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be informed at least a month before the course starts. We will fully refund the summer school fee. Please note that the university cannot take any responsibility for covering personal travel costs. Thus, we recommend getting insurance coverage.
  • The university reserves the right to claim the summer school fee in accordance with the above-mentioned terms if you have received a Letter of Acceptance from the summer school director and cancel the participation without written notice.
NB! The same policy applies if you are forced to cancel because you did not receive a visa.

Management of the Refund

  • To apply for the refund, please send a written request with the relevant bank data via e-mail to the summer school main lecturers.
  • Refund will be made to the person/institution who paid the summer school fee.
Please note that in case there are not enough participants for the course (the exact minimum number of participants can be found on the course's webpage), the University of Santiago de Compostela will have to cancel the course. In this case, you will receive a full refund.
