The Summer School will admit 45 qualified and selected students. Participants are required to pay the following course fees:

• The application fee of EUR 25 (non-refundable).
• The course fee of EUR 800.
• The cultural event fees (if the learner wishes to participate)

Note: The fee covers all lectures, course material, Wi-Fi connections, coffee breaks, and one social event. The fee does NOT cover accommodation and travel.

Important to Know Before Paying the Application Fee

International candidates applying to FLTA Summer School are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of EUR 25.

The application fee is required to facilitate the admissions process and will not be refunded, regardless of the admission result.

• Ensure you can submit all required documents by the deadline before paying the application fee.
• Download and save proof of payment; it must be uploaded in the application form.
• Paying the application fee alone does not guarantee admission; all required documents must be submitted on time.
• The fee is non-refundable even if the application is unsuccessful.
• Any payments made in error are also non-refundable.
• Unsuccessful applications resubmitted in future admission periods must still pay the application fee.

The payment must be made by the application deadline.

How to Apply:

Prospective participants must complete the form below and upload a 1-2 page letter (PDF) including:

• Name, department/university, current position (Master’s student, PhD student, postdoc, etc.)
• Educational background
• Research activity and interests
• Motivations for participating in the school

Prerequisites: Participants should have a foundational knowledge of Machine Learning, proficiency in Python, and familiarity with relevant metrics to effectively engage in the Federated Learning Summer School.

Selection Criteria:

The Organizing Committee will evaluate applicants based on their qualifications and key factors such as the alignment of their motivation with the objectives of the Federated Learning Summer School, the potential impact on their research, and its relevance to their career development. Preference will be given to applicants who did not participate in the 2024 edition of the school.
